Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson skipped practice for knee injury

On Vikings Sunday practice, quarterback Tarvaris Jackson did not appear because of a sprained MCL in his left knee, which he got on Saturday when defensive lineman LeTroy Guion accidentally rolled up on his leg during an 11-on-11 drill.

“He stayed inside for treatment today,” coach Brad Childress said. “The first 24 hours are a big time to treat those things. He spent some time with all the modalities they do in the swimming pool. Jackson is competing with Sage Rosenfels for the starting job, so it is very likely that he could return to practice on Monday.
